Good value multi-purpose option, especially for new-to-clipless riders
These pedals come with a Shimano SPD clipless mechanism on one side and a large (93x78mm), firm, alloy platform on the other, making them the perfect choice for touring, commuting or any other riding where you don’t want to be clipped in all the time.
That platform is ridged and slightly concave so your foot sticks to it pretty well even in damp conditions, while the cleat retention is easily adjustable so newcomers can wind it up gradually.
The two cup-and-cone bearings inside are fully serviceable and the weight is pretty good for something this chunky – less than other dual-purpose pedals.
