$10 each or both for $17. Great addition to a vintage glove collection or wearing for dressing-up, tea parties, special occasions, weddings, mid-century modern costumes or any occasion where a bit of retro style and pizzazz is desired.
From the 1950’s-60’s, these very retro/vintage women’s dress gloves are knit cotton and available in either a cotton candy colored pink or a pale blue. The gloves have external stitching around the fingers and a lovely 3 part raised stitching design on the front palm area. The gloves are a stretchy knit material that feels cottony and suede like.
These are “gauntlet” type gloves (i.e., the gloves have flared arm pieces in the style of equestrian gauntlets) and are often characterized by a turn-up or cuff that often points outward and come part way up the forearm.
Label on the inside is so faded that I can’t make it out. There is no size indicated but they are stretchy enough to fit a person who wears Medium size gloves, as well as someone with Small hands.
They are a total of 13” inches (from fingertip to top of glove) covering the wrist and reaching a couple of inches up onto the forearm
CONDITION: Gloves are in Good shape for their age. There are no rips or holes and they are clean and fresh smelling. But they do have some age wear with subtle dirt/stains. These are:
Blue pair have a tiny white mark on front that appears to be paint, maybe.
Pink pair have a very faint long dirt mark along the side edge of glove, where the side seam is (Not really visible as it runs along seam where glove stays creased on the arm. In picture, the seam crease is opened flat so you could more easily see the mark.)
Pink pair also have a tiny mark on the finger on the front of one glove.
