August 13 - September 19, 2020
Join the 8 am - 12 noon or 5 pm - 9 pm class for the skills lab and clinicals.
Classes are offered daytime, evenings or weekends, so join the class that is most convenient for you.
The 120 hour course can be completed in 4-6 weeks. It includes:
50 hours of on-line instruction using the American Red Cross curriculum
30 hours of skills lab
40 hours of clinical training currently being done in our skills lab.
All sessions in our skills lab are done in full compliance with the CDC recommendations for social distancing.
Each student is assigned to his/her own hospital bed and manikin and masks and gloves are required to be worn at all times in the lab.
Students taking the on-line course learn by watching a professionally produced movie where they meet a new CNA (certified nursing assistant). You will observe her working with patients and demonstrating the skills that you are learning. The curriculum includes practice tests.
There is a shortage of certified nursing assistants and many jobs currently open in hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, memory care, clinics and home health. Complete the course in 4 weeks and be prepared to take the Board of Nursing exam to become a CNA.
