This delicate Hostess Apron from the 1940’s-1950s is a half waist apron style featuring lightweight cotton in an almost sheer floral rose print pattern. Probably handmade from handkerchiefs, it has a central square piece with triangular wings on each side, pleated pieces at the bottom, and a patch pocket on the right side, adding a touch of charm to the design.
Exuding a midcentury nostalgic vibe, it would make a unique and eye-catching addition framed for any kitchen decor or apron collection. Or actually wear it/use it in your throwback retro hostessing and entertaining situations.
CONDITION: in Very Good shape for its age, clean and fresh smelling. The apron ties are made from an organza material – one side has a small hole as shown in one of the last pictures.
SIZING: Length is 18 ¼”. Width for the square center piece is 12” wide, with the width total being 26” (center square and wing pieces).
NOTE: I also have other vintage ladies’ aprons. Ask me about them or see my profile for these other ads.
