the following description is from European county living of Springfield, now defunct, from where the cart was originally purchased: found through out Europe and dating from the late 1800's through the middle of the 1900's, both wooden farm carts aka dog carts, goat carts or potato wagons and factory carts were used in the city and country for carrying farm produce, wood, or other heavy objects. each is unique in style and character and come in a variety of finishes, from natural wood to painted. perfect in the garden to hold flowers, in the home to hold firewood, or anywhere in the home or garden to decorate seasonally. depending on the size and style of the cart, they can also be converted w/a glass top into a coffee or side table.
traces of the old red wood are visible in places.
all measurements are approximate-31" long bed/sides, 3' tongue, 37" long total, 23" wide w/o wheels, 25" wide w/wheels, 13" deep from bed to top of sides.
i purchased this cart w/high hopes that did not come to be. it has been sitting taking up room in my basement long enough. hoping to find it a good home. asking $300 OBO CASH only. serious inquiries only.
