Nice vintage Edge Brand "Original Buffalo Skinner" hunting knife, with sheath #479. While the knife was made in Solingen Germany the Edge Brand was a German import line of Gutmann Cutlery that was a large post WWII importer that lasted until the late 1990's. From what I could find the #479 dates back to the 1970's.
The Solingen quality is present in this knife. There is some minor pitting on the blade near the tang but overall the blade is in great shape. Stag horn handle has no chips or cracks and the leather sheath is in excellent condition with no signs of dry rot.
