The Oktoberfest collector's stein remains true to the simple shape which has remained unchanged for over a century. A finished mug has gone through many hands and production steps. The high-quality finishing, evinced by many fine details, makes the official Oktoberfest mug a valuable example of a traditional handcraft. The mug is produced by the firm of Rastal, based in Höhr-Grenzhausen, which still today fulfills orders for stoneware and pewter articles in the tradition of the masterly craftsmanship of the "Kannenbäckerland".
