ANIK is seeking Bilingual Experience Ambassadors (Spanish/English), for our Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Authority (WMATA) project, starting April 28th- June 28th. As an Experience Ambassador, you will engage and connect with bus passengers as you offer a paper questionnaire onboard. The data collected will help with the improvement of WMATA Transit in the Washington, DC region.
Report Location
Report locations will be at various transit centers/rail stations including but not limited to the downtown Washington DC. assigned in WMATA Metrobus service area which services:
-District of Columbia
-Maryland: Montgomery County and Prince George's County.
- Virginia: Arlington County, Fairfax County, and Loudoun County, along with the cities of Alexandria, and Falls Church.
Badges with photo will be provided for staff in order to ride buses with no cost during assignments and to identify as an employee.
Responsibilities
Experience Ambassadors are responsible for:
Arriving at their pre-scheduled location.
Connect in-person with travelers to request their participation in a 5 minute questionnaire.
Conduct one on one interviews, passengers will not use the tablet.
Meet quota 6 digital surveys per hour, if paper survey 10 per hour.
Return to starting location to return collection, receive supervisor feedback, and receive a report time and location for the following day.
Qualifications
Self-motivated and able to work independently.
Punctual. A missed bus is a missed shift.
Outgoing and natural communicator.
Bilingual in English and Spanish is encouraged, but not required.
Excited about community improvement and innovation.
Ability to stand on moving transportation for extended periods.
Proficient in Apple iPad and Google maps.
At least 18 years of age
Details
Workdays: Monday- Thursday, excluding holidays. Will work some weekends, staff must be available to work on occasional weekends.
Pay Rate: English $22 per hour & Bilingual in English/Spanish$23.00 per hour
Job Type: 1099 Contractor, Hourly Pay Rate.
Start Date: Tuesday, April 28th 2026 (Mandatory training on April 28th)
Length of project: 2 months approx.
Attire:
Comfortable shoes preferably with rubber soles for safety (high heels not recommended)
No T-shirts with graphic designs
Pants with no tears or sagging
No facial tattoos or facial piercings
Available Shifts:
AM: Starting between 5:30-6am (all staff must be available at 5:30am) shift ends between 1-2pm.
PM: Starting around 2pm and ends roughly between 10-10:30pm (all staff must be available to work until 10:30pm if needed).
Specific shift times and locations may vary daily based on transit departure times.
