Social P’s & Q’s was developed to help young adults with special needs learn etiquette and manners in social settings. Once kids turn 18 and out of school, there was nothing out there to provide them with the social training and skills they need to interact with others. Social P’s & Q’s goal is to provide social opportunities to develop or enhance social skills.

Social P’s & Q’s will provide outlets for young adults to meet and mingle with age-appropriate peers. Outings are located in public settings and can range from lunches to movies to grocery shopping, etc.
Every excursion will have a goal or objective in mind and every parent/guardian will be provided with a report of how well they participated in the social outing and what they learned.
Young adults will learn or enhance generalized social skills across multiple settings that they can carry on and use throughout life. We’ll also provide parents a brief respite away from their kids because sometimes parents need a break as well.
We are looking for certified special education teachers to provide tutoring and/or chaperone services for outings (or 2 year college degree or special ed experience needed for chaperone services). Please contact Janice Victorov at 703-599-9891 or to learn more.
