Fairfax Collegiate is Northern Virginia's leading provider of summer and after school enrichment classes for Elementary and Middle School students. This Fall, Fairfax Collegiate is partnering with local elementary schools to offer after school enrichment courses in the following subjects:

Classes use a proven curriculum, and equipment is provided for all classes. Fairfax Collegiate is looking for qualified instructors to teach these classes.
Classes are 60-90 minutes long apiece, but instructors are compensated to arrive 15 minutes early and stay 15 minutes late, meaning each class is a 90 minute - 2 hr engagement for instructors.
Classes are generally 8 weeks long, once a week; instructors are able (and encouraged) to teach multiple classes (ex. Teaching a Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday class to give you a 3 day/wk course load.)
Classes vary in start time, as they’re dictated by individual school schedules, but most have a start time between 3:00 and 4:00 (so, it could be 3:15 - 4:45, or 3:45 - 5:15 for example.)
Candidates should have:
--At least one year of college experience (many instructors are undergraduates or graduate students of top universities)
--A strong academic record and an authoritative knowledge of their subject area
--Experience working with younger students (elementary and middle school age preferred)
--A desire to gain real-world teaching experience
--Currently, highest needs are for Wednesday and Thursday availability
