Vintage Marantz 2500 Receiver - $2,700

This Maantz is not working. It requires bringing it up to be in good condition.
A scope vertical knob is broken.

A friend of mine worked on it, but he moved to the West Coast.
Here is a note from him.

Changed one 10-watt resistor in the power supply section,
Tested the amp on a dim bulb tester. Amp power on
Checked power supply voltages. Good.
Tested power amp section only... It’s good, but the peak indicator lamp turns on without sound input,
He said, "suspect board defect.
Observed that other inputs have sound from one channel, but after 30-60 minutes, the sound distorts.
Have not checked any other components.
The amp is too heavy.
