Brand New - never used, in the box in plastic, only taken out for the pictures ! But because it's from the mid 90's, even though it's been sitting in the box. There's no guarantee how time has treated the speaker surrounds. They feel fine, no sticky residue. Looks good.
If the surrounds fail, the remedy is foam replacement which costs $28 for a kit on Amazon or mid-bass speaker replacement.

RCA PRO-CS55 2-Way Center Channel Speaker System is designed for use as a center speaker in your surround sound audio/video system. The tweeters' unique design virtually eliminates all physical limitations to high-frequency sound production. The speakers' acoustics have been carefully designed to match the speaker elements to the enclosure and its damping materials.
