Join one of America's most award-winning restaurants, The Inn at Little Washington. Nestled in a tiny Virginia town on the edge of Shenandoah National Park about 70 miles from the nation's capital, The Inn at Little Washington has long been the domain of Chef Patrick O'Connell and a destination in itself. The Inn at Little Washington is a culinary oasis akin to visiting a Michelin-starred restaurant in the European countryside.

We believe in creating magnificent celebrations for each guest. It's not what you do but how you do it and how much of yourself you pour out doing it. The Inn at Little Washington is looking for encouraging and enthusiastic personages who enjoy the art of the "living theatre" and creating wonderful memories for guests.

Essential Job Functions: (Responsibilities include but not limited to)

  • All housekeeping staff must be available to work some evening and weekend hours, including Sunday.
  • Practice safe working techniques and is knowledgeable of all safety and emergency procedure.
  • Must clean assigned rooms in a timely manner while paying attention to details.
  • Responsible for cleaning public areas and ensure.
  • Maintain confidentiality of proprietary information while protecting company assets.
  • Friendly and gracious demeanor toward guests and coworkers.
  • Anticipate guests' needs.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Able to stand, sit walk up and down narrow stairs for an extended period of time.
  • Able to move, lift, carry, push and pull objects weighting less than or equal to 30 pounds without assistance.
  • Comfortable with engaging guests while displaying a positive attitude.
  • Consistently serve as an ambassador to The Inn at Little Washington in all interactions.

Required Qualifications:

  • At least 6 months experience in a related field or 6 months of customer service.
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Must be able to pass a background check.
  • Must be willing to comply with The Inn's grooming standards. Any visible tattoos must be covered by the uniform and men should be clean shaven at all times.
