This darling little vintage ornament is likely a Kurt Adler ornament (a German-American businessman). Probably produced in Japan in the 1950’s- 1960's, it has the look of hand-made in the Erzgebirge style (a traditional German ornament). “Gnome on Skis” is full of whimsical features using multiple materials in its construction– googly painted eyes behind metal goggles/eye glasses, a squatty little wooden body and red nose, and a round wooden head covered with a yellow cloth headgear. Completing the cuteness, he stands on wooden skis and swings his ski poles with arms made of loose braided string.

DIMENSIONS: 1 1/2” tall by approximately 9/16” wide
CONDITION: Very good for its age
