Stone Harbor, NJ - 1960s Original Canvas Painting of Edwards Pier/Smugglers Cove ($3,200)
This is an Original Vintage Oil on Canvas Painting of the "Edwards Pier Marina" located in Stone Harbor, New Jersey.
The approximate size is 25" wide by 18" tall.
This rare and unique painting was created by the artist sometime during the summer between 1968-1969.
The Edwards Pier Marina was originally purchased in 1959 and sold in 1973 to then become known as the
"Smuggler's Cove Marina", which was then sold and demolished around 2020.
This original painting has historical significance as the Edwards Pier/Smugglers Cove was the last Marina on the island of Stone Harbor.
The painting has been maintained inside a home by one owner for over 58 years.
This posting is a watermarked image, and the actual painting is located in Fairfax, Virginia (Vienna Metro/Pan Am Shopping Center) and accepting only Cash. Included is a current 2020 picture of the Smugglers Cove Marina to provide a reference to the painting.
Note however, that this painting depicts the original Edwards Pier Marina with the ESSO sign.
There is also a photograph taken at the time when the artist was actually painting the picture from the dock for authenticity, which can be provided during the sale.
