Responsibilities for Government Affairs Coordinator:
-Responsible for supporting the initiatives of the Political Advocacy team and the goals of the Association.
-Create and manage legislative action alerts that support the conservative legislative priorities of the federal and state policy teams.
-Provides support with coordination of Government Affairs and Media Relations press releases, newsletters, and publications.
-Drafts short articles, updates and social media posts on legislative, regulatory, grass roots and related content.
-Develops power point presentations and other presentations for members and staff, based on direction and input from staff.
Requirements for Government Affairs Coordinator:
-Completed a four year bachelors degree preferably in political science or related field
-Experience in one of the following: Working on Capitol Hill, Regulatory, legislative office, government affairs, or legislative intern
-Strong communication skills and good attention to detail
-Tech Savvy, Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
-Previous Hill experience or someone who's worked in a regulatory or legislative office. Someone with a political science degree is always preferred.
