Basic Function: To provide supervision to all Personal Care Professionals
To assess and provide ongoing Care Planning for Personal Care Clients
To provide continuing education and training to Home Instead employees
Reporting: The RN reports directly to the Director of Nursing
Essential Qualifications: (Include minimum education, experience and specific skills required to perform Primary Responsibilities.)
1. Registered Nurse currently licensed by the Virginia Board of Nursing
2. Experience caring for the elderly
3. Speaking and hearing English clearly in person and on the telephone.
4. Reading and writing English on an average adult level.
5. Ability to treat and care for clients and their property with dignity and respect.
6. Ability to communicate with the clients and Care Professionals in a polite and congenial manner.
7. Ability to communicate with office staff to ensure that service expectations are met.
Special Requirements:
1. Ability to drive to work site locations.
2. Ability to work with individuals from different cultures and life experiences.
3. Ability to lift 25 lbs., bending, twisting, kneeling, reaching, pushing, pulling and carrying.
4. Ability to withstand periodic contact with dog/cat hair, dust, mold, mildew and cleaning solutions.
