The koi fish tail, in this case is the handle, in which to use for carrying and/or pouring any sauce's or gravy's, while the open mouth end of koi fish is the pour spout opening. Raised relief details of fish scales, fins/gils eyes and mouth, including slight ribbed details to end of tail, i.e. handle. A delicious accompaniment to any dinner soiree, party with the panache of sophistication and whimsy rolled into one. Maker's markings on underside of oval-shaped base, the has a minute fluted or ribbed detail
Holds approximately 1.5 cups. In perfect condition. such a fun, unique and whimsical serving piece
