A rare set of 5 art glass tumblers from the 'Mine' series by the late glass artist Ulrica Hydman-Vallien for Kosta Boda, Sweden. These modernist style glasses are mouth blown in a heavy wave textured glass in an organic shape and have a wispy smokey swirl pattern in pink shades with tiny air bubbles which give a shimmering effect to the tumblers. The simplistic lines in this heavy art glass give a serene grounded presence, and if used as a candle holder it really shows off the sweeping swirls within the three-dimensional realm. They're embossed UHV with the signature snake underneath.

About the Artist -
Ulrica Hydman-Vallien (1938–2018) was one of Sweden’s leading glass artists in the 20th and 21st century. After her art studies at ”Konstfack” in Stockholm, she worked for the Kosta Boda glassworks for more than 40 years. Ulrica became a prominent designer of glass vases, bowls and sculptures with colorful expressions. Her artistry is represented at the Swedish National Museum of Art and Design.

These UHV Mine tumblers are about 4.5" tall, 3.5" wide at top rim and just over 2" at the base. Their thickness is about 0.25" and weigh about 1lb 3oz each. They're in excellent condition and actually never used / just stored away for years. The original tags are still on 4 glasses - I removed the tags from one glass just to photograph the bottom.

Add these hard to find Mine tumblers to your collection of fine Kosta Boda glassware, and enjoy serving your guests cocktails, lemonade, juice or water with them. They are equally beautiful as votive holders for a soothing bath, giving a romantic light at a dinner for two, or as peaceful ambiance lighting for a relaxed evening. These tumblers were produced between 2002 and 2015.
