As the title says, I have various pieces of framed antique/vintage artwork, that I need to have gone!
$100 - Carved Wood Unicorn Wall Art
Original artist is unknown. Art was obtained from an auction. Bottom left corner edge of the wood had a growth ring there, and one side of that ring where the corner would be has come off. Unknown if this was a break or if the original artist originally shaped it in that way -- I would lean towards that it broke off, because of the discoloration.
The art piece does have a slot at the top where it functions as a wall hanger. Place a nail in the wall, and hang the art from that slot, onto your wall.
Dimensions: 11" x 12 7/8" x 3/4"
11" Width (side to side)
12 7/8" Tall (top to bottom)
3/4" Thickness (back to front)
$120 - Framed page of The Delineator (Fashion Magazine) March Edition of the Year 1912, Page 245
The frame appears to be wood underneath with a metal border applied over-top. The frame is in decent shape, with some minor scuffs and marks and corner chipping - but no major damages that threaten integrity or diminish from the artwork inside. The glass is in excellent condition, with no chips. There is a hanging wire made of twisted wire and circle eyelets on the back for securing the painting to the wall. The back of the frame was professionally lined, with brown paper, at "The Frame Factory" in Allentown, PA, before I got the art piece. The backing has a few minor holes, but is still largely intact and serves its purpose well. The edges of the backing are peeling a bit in one corner, but the effect is minimal. On the front, the internal page shows no rips or tears, and looks perfect, with vibrant colors and crisp lines and text. The page is set in, with a nice teal blue-green border around it, which sits higher than the artwork so there's no art-on-glass contact.
The art piece measures in total, with frame, at 13.25 inches wide and 18.13 inches tall.
$100 - Framed Artwork of La Mode Illustrée (Journal de la Famille) Unknown Year or Edition
This artwork is a framed piece featuring a page from the magazine of "La Mode Illustrée (Journal de la Famille)". The magazine page featured here in this framed art-piece was part of a magazine released for the public's reading of the latest fashion trends. The year and edition numbers are unknown. I could find no scans of them anywhere.
The frame is in decent condition but could use touch-ups. Back of the frame was re-papered by me, because the old backing was deteriorating and falling apart.
Frame is an oval shape, and comes out to 12-3/8" x 14-1/4"
