Job Summary:
The Human Resource Generalist will complete daily functions of the Human Resource (HR) department including recruiting staff, new hire processing, benefits, responding to unemployment issues, and enforcing company policies and practices.

• Recruits and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions.
• Conducts or acquires background checks and employee eligibility verifications.
• Assist with assignments and daily workflow in the HR department.
• Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the HR Manager.
• Performs routine tasks required to assist with human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters, investigations; performance and talent
management; productivity, and occupational health and safety; and training and development.
• Coordinates new hire orientations and onboarding programs.
• Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments. This may include safety training, HR training, employee certifications, etc.
• May assist with constructive and timely performance evaluation process.
• Attends and participates in employee meetings as necessary.
• Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended
best practices, reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance.
• Maintains knowledge of best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent
management, and employment law.

Education and Experience:
• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field required.
• 2-3 years of human resource experience preferred.
