General Labor – Commercial Flooring Crew | 20/hr | Start ASAP | Lorton, VA 22079
We are hiring **6-10 reliable General Laborers / Flooring Crew Members** for a full-time, temp-to-permanent opportunity in the **Lorton, VA 22079** area.
This is **not a janitorial position**. This role supports a commercial flooring company with hands-on flooring projects, including floor removal, floor prep, repair, resurfacing, carpet work, and large-scale commercial job site support.
## Pay
$20.00 per hour**
## Schedule
* Monday - Friday
* **5:00 PM - 3:00 AM**
* 40 hours per week
* Occasional Saturday work
* Overtime available with approval
## Job Duties
This is a hands-on general labor role supporting commercial flooring projects. Duties may include:
* Removing old flooring, carpet, and floor materials
* Assisting with floor installation, repair, and resurfacing projects
* Floor prep, stripping, scraping, sanding, and surface preparation
* Moving materials, tools, equipment, and supplies
* Assisting flooring technicians on large commercial job sites
* Using hand tools, power tools, and floor equipment
* General job site cleanup related to flooring demo and installation work
* Working in commercial buildings, government facilities, and banks
## Experience That Fits This Role
Previous experience in any of the following is helpful:
* General labor
* Construction labor
* Flooring installation
* Carpet removal or installation
* Floor repair or resurfacing
* Demolition
* Warehouse labor
* Moving/material handling
* Painting, drywall, concrete, carpentry, or renovation work
* Commercial job site experience
Flooring experience is a plus, but we are mainly looking for dependable people who are hands-on, reliable, and willing to work.
