Looking for one experienced deck carpenter for deck repair and deck building work in the Northern Virginia area.
This is job-by-job work. Must have real carpentry/deck experience, your own tools, reliable transportation, and the ability to work accurately without constant supervision.
Pay: $350 to $450 per day depending on skill, experience, and job scope. Most workdays are around 10 hours. Payment is made at the end of each completed job. First job may be used as a paid trial to check skill, reliability, speed, and quality.
Must be able to do:
Deck repairs
Deck board replacement
Framing
Joist repairs
Railings
Stairs
Posts
Fascia/trim boards
Accurate measuring and cutting
General carpentry related to deck work
Requirements:
Must know how to safely use saws and cutting tools
Must be able to cut boards accurately to measurements
Must have your own tools
Must have reliable transportation
Must have previous deck/carpentry experience
Must provide photos/proof of previous work
Must have a valid form of ID
Must show up on time and communicate clearly
Must be able to work outside and handle full workdays
