Ensuring human comfort, productivity, and safety while practicing environmental stewardship is the mission of the Air-Conditioning, Heating, and Refrigeration Institute (AHRI). Through our certification program, standards, advocacy, and other activities, we strive to help save energy, improve productivity, and ensure a better environment.

AHRI has an opening for a Legal Coordinator with our Legal, Regulatory, and Research Team, reporting to the Deputy General Counsel. The Legal Coordinator is will be responsible for coordinating the dockets for various filings, public meetings, events, and AHRI meetings that occur within the Legal, Regulatory, and Research Department. The Legal Coordinator will ensure that appropriate meetings are scheduled, communications with members are timely, and that all aspects of AHRI’s responses to government agencies are timely and well-coordinated. Duties include but are not limited to:

Manage the legal and regulatory docket and ensure that all filings and deadlines are met.
Communicate with members regarding opportunities to comment on regulations and how to work with AHRI in responding to agencies.
Coordinate internal communications to share relevant information with the team in order to promote consistency in the AHRI message.
Attend AHRI meetings and public meetings; review documents and draft one-pagers.

Bachelor’s degree in public policy or related field.
One to two years of experience in an administrative or public policy-related role. Organizational and advocacy skills are essential.
Ability to organize and multi-task and manage multiple assignments with competing priorities.
Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office.
AHRI offers a full benefits package with alternate workplace options and a friendly work environment. The hiring range for this position is $50,000 to $55,000.
