PJI Law, PLC, a small, busy, and fast-growing family law and business law firm in Fairfax, Virginia, has an opportunity for a full-time Client Liaison / Receptionist position that is as challenging as it is rewarding. The opportunity is ideal for a go-getter with a strong work ethic who is looking for a position in which to grow. Our firm strives to help and support those who are facing problems either in their family or in their business, and this position is crucial in allowing us to effectively help them. Training will be provided, so although experience in the legal field is a plus, it is not required.
What is a Client Liaison? Your duties as Client Liaison would be to accompany each of our clients throughout their relationship with our firm, from the very first time they contact our office, through intake, engagement, onboarding, post-engagement, and all the way until after their matter with our firm has been closed. You would be the one to initially introduce the clients to our firm and follow up to ensure that their questions are answered and that they are equipped with the information they need to engage our services. This intake and follow-up process constitutes a major part of the role.
After we've begun working with the client, you would check in with them to ensure that their needs are being met, and would maintain our firm's strong relationship with them even beyond the conclusion of the case. In addition, you would participate in various sales and marketing projects, to include assistance with seminars, for example. In short, the Client Liaison is our firm's ambassador to the world.
In this position you would also be wearing the hat of a receptionist, and would have receptionist duties to include answering, screening, and directing all incoming calls, greeting clients and guests as they come in and making them comfortable, sorting the mail, and maintaining a clean reception area and clean conference rooms. As a team player, you would also be prepared to support all of the firm's other positions as necessary.
This position requires a person who is positive, energetic, compassionate, and friendly (bubbly is a plus), who enjoys talking to people, and with a natural inclination to want to help anyone they're talking to. Since telephone correspondence is a core and significant responsibility of this position, and since it will consume a significant amount of your time every day, excellent phone etiquette and a corresponding confidence are necessary.
You must be a team player. We are strong believers in the team approach and our office is a team environment. You will be working with other wonderful members of our team who work hard to get the job done right and who take pride in their work, and we are all expected to lift each other up in order to achieve our goals and grow. We are friendly and kind to one another, and we have an enjoyable work environment, but we know that there's a time to have fun and a time to work. If this is consistent with your mindset, we look forward to receiving your application.
It would be entirely possible for this position to sometimes involve you being on the phone with a potential new client, while another client walks into the office for an appointment, all while an attorney requires your help with a time-sensitive mailing because his legal assistant is dealing with another deadline. If you do not think you can handle such a situation, or if you can only handle it while losing your positive attitude, this position is not right for you.
