I hold a Doctor of Musical Arts degree in Piano Performance with minors in Piano Pedagogy and Voice Pedagogy (Master's Degree in Voice Performance), along with over 35 years of successful teaching and expertise in both areas. My students' achievements include acceptance into college music programs (Yale and the Tish School of the Arts - New York University among others), as well as winning numerous regional, national, and international competitions.
Lessons are taught in a patient and friendly atmosphere. The studio offers regular performance opportunities in form of studio recitals and community concerts, preparation for competitions, RCM Examinations, and college. Students who are considering career choices in piano or voice will increase their chances under my instruction. If you are already a professional, but would like to expand your horizons to be a better teacher or performer, I will be happy to help! The curriculum in piano or voice is developed and customized for each student, to make sure they excel to their best potential and achieve their musical goals.
I accept motivated students of all ages and levels, including adults. Very young piano students are very welcome: my method of teaching is very easy to follow and extremely effective, as long as your child can count to 5 and stay focused for 30 minutes. Beginning students for both piano and voice are very welcome: it is much easier to build a solid correct foundation from the start than have to undo what was done wrong for many years. I have been also known for my ability to fix any problems and/or bad habits that my new-coming piano or voice students acquired in the past. The technique I use to teach either piano or voice will provide you with a lifetime base that will allow you to play or sing at your very best technically and musically, without ever hurting your hands or your voice.
Rates, availability, and/or any other information beyond this ad are available upon individual requests. All lessons are prepaid. To protect myself from scammers, I will not schedule any lessons until after evaluating potential students online or at least talking on the phone.
