The Kawasaki KX500 is the biggest and most powerful of Kawasaki's motocross lineup. It is intended for experienced riders who want the added power of an open-class machine for motocross. The KX500's five-speed liquid-cooled two-stroke engine features the Kawasaki Integrated Power-valve System (KIPS) for easy starts, and pumps out nearly 65 horsepower for incredible speed and acceleration. Powerful disc brakes in the front and rear, and fully adjustable suspension components provide more than 12 inches of front and rear wheel travel. Accessories include maintenance manual, owner's manual, kick-stand, front deflectors for brush and branches, and disk brake lock with alarm. There is no odometer - its a dirt bike. Adjusted for inflation, asking price nearly matches what I paid for it in 2006, plus transportation from Vancouver and customs fees (virtually the last two-stroke to enter the US due to EPA regs).
