1999 BMW K1200LT with 97,213 miles. Owned since February of 2008. Powered by the famous four-valve BMW liquid-cooled “flying brick” flat four cylinder engine (100 hp @ crank), the motorcycle features Telelever front suspension/Paralever rear suspension (single sided swingarm), ABS Brembo brakes, an electrically adjusting Cee Bailey windshield, side wind deflectors, heated grips, PIAA Sport/Touring fog lamps, factory AM/FM/Weather band/Cassette/6 CD changer sound system (with CB hookup and antenna), factory locking hard-bags/radio compartment, full instruments with gear indicator/clock, trip computer/thermometer, center stand and two power ports for your heated jackets. Its Metzler 888 tires have loads of tread on them. This is a heavy motorcycle with integrated crash bars/rub strips preventing major damage (if any) if you should drop it while stationary. Also comes with service records, Clymer’s Shop Manual, factory all-season cover, Nelson-Rigg “commuter cover,” and Kathy’s Touring Bags (hard bag liners). Major service done at 96k miles, but may need a clutch/rear main seal/shift dog soon – bike runs fine for 20 or so miles then presents shifting issues. A new steering damper would also be wise. Clear title, owners manuals and key, Current inspection and registration. Asking price is $1299 cash as-is. Yes, it will likely need work, but it is still a good value (and doesn’t leak a drop) or a prime donor bike. I am not a desperate seller – and this is a very nice motorcycle, so if you’re a tirekicker or lowballer, please don’t waste our time.
