If you are looking for a bike that is lightweight, relatively peppy, ultra low seat height, cheap to insure and excellent on gas ... look no further.
Picked this up on Craigslist last year with the idea of teaching my sister how to ride since she's 5'1. Bike had been sitting for a couple years so performed the following service:
Battery replaced
Spark plug replaced
Synthetic oil and filter change
Carburetor replaced (due to auto-choke feature not working when original was rebuilt)
Full tank of fresh 93 octane
Bike starts up easy. Did some acceleration tests in 2nd gear and 3rd. Bike scoots pretty good and has better "city" power than the Ninja 250/300. The top speeds of these bikes are in the neighborhood of 100 mph so you can take them on the highway no problem. As expected, this entry level bike has been dropped and the remaining evidence is the damaged right front signal. Try as I might, I could not source the exact replacement as it is no longer available from Buell. Part of me wanted to just install aftermarket signals but I figured I'd let the prospective buyer take care of it in case they finally found the genuine one on ebay one day. The previous owner never registered it and doesn't have the title. The owner who had it registered last was in VA, hence the VA tag. I do not have the title but am happy to write you a bill of sale.
If you are willing to meet my asking price I will throw in a Yellow Arai helmet (size M) and offer free delivery within a 20 mile radius.
