6-string Alvarez 5046 - Made in Japan 1972. Beautiful guitar with an excellent sound. Steel strings currently. This is an acoustic-electric guitar, unknown if the electric component still works (I do not have the equipment to test that feature). No cracks or compromising damage. VERY minor scuff to the finish on the right corner of the guitar head (seen in photo by zooming in) and tiny marks or dings in other places. Aside from strings, all parts are original. Neck is straight, frets in great shape.
The incredible thing about the Alvarez company is that it was born in 1971 and started to produce Martin copies. This brand of guitar is considered a lower budget version of high end Martins.
This specific instrument was a family-owned guitar passed down to me. Purchased in 70s and owned by three family members over time, kept in temperature-controlled environments. We have loved this guitar and now I'd love to see this go to someone who appreciates the incredible quality and sound of vintage instruments. Original cardboard case included along with colorful guitar strap. Not suitable for shipping unless you'd like to purchase a guitar box.
