For sale is this Hamer Studio P90 Goldtop made in the Hamer Custom Shop in New Hartford, CT in 1993. For those of you who don’t know much about Hamer guitars, they were the self-proclaimed “original boutique custom shop”, and had been hand-crafting electric guitars since 1973 until their doors permanently closed in 2012. Their quality has long been known to formidably compete with the likes of Gibson and PRS at a fraction of the price, and this Studio P90 is no exception: one-piece pattern-grade Mahogany body with a thick carved Rock Maple top, Hamer-branded Schaller tuners, rosewood fingerboard with 22 nickel-silver frets on a 14” radius, and a pair of Seymour Duncan P90 pickups. This guitar is very resonant and acoustically loud, and weighs in at 8.2 lbs.
The guitar displays the normal signs of Hameritis that many of the guitars of this period have.
