I'm selling my Jackson Guldan "Chris Adjustomatic" parlor size acoustic guitar. This is NOT a guitar for beginners.
This particular one actually plays pretty good, as long as you don't try to get too frisky above the 7th fret. Action is remarkably low. I adjusted the neck, and put on a new nut. Has a pleasing sound, sort of like a 6 string baritone ukelele. I've strung it with 10-47 ultralight strings to reduce tension on this very old guitar. Looks-wise, it has seem a lot of use, but has no dents or cracks. See the high resolution pics for detailed cosmetic condition.
The Jackson Guldan Company made guitars and violins until 1971 in Columbus, Ohio. This one is probably from the late 1950's but it has no serial number so there's no way to be sure. The Adjustomatic name comes from the fact that the neck is fixed in place by two screws, which allows the "action" to be easily adjusted to suit any player. The Chris is a ladder braced guitar which was primarily marketed by Montgomery Wards.
