Gigging Band Needs Bass Player - Must Be Into Indie Rock!

Our sound is currently influenced by shoegaze, alt-country and a touch of the psychedelic. Older bands/musicians we like include everything from Brian Wilson, The Velvet Underground, Pink Floyd, The Smiths, Pavement, REM, Radiohead, Songs: Ohia, Wilco, The Silver Jews, Deftones, Sparklehorse, Elliott Smith, Bill Callahan and tons more. Also into a lot current stuff like Wednesday, MJ Lenderman, Cameron Winter, Geese, This is Lorelei, Caroline, etc. PLEASE ONLY INQUIRE IF YOUR TASTE OVERLAP!
We're mostly middle-aged dudes but super inclusive and very open to anyone of any age or gender. We're also pretty much leftists in terms of our politics, want to engage a bit more in that space when possible (benefit shows, etc) so it's important that at a minimum you're left-of-center.
We practice a couple of times a month in either Sterling or Ashburn (but if you have a space that's a reasonable drive, happy to consider). Our goal is to gig monthly in the DMV, which we had been doing consistently before this hiatus. You can check out a few of our songs on our Bandcamp page by searching Fields & Forests.
