I have been fixing accordions for years and have managed to get a few unplayable accordions back to perfect condition. I do not order new parts but I know the inside mechanics and get the buttons working again, and the reeds to stop leaking usually. I also accompanied Hindustani vocalists and am familiar with harmoniums.
