If you're a jazz player who's been stuck playing alone, or just missing the feeling of making music in a room with other people, this might be for you.
The Jazz Workshop has been running for almost two decades. It's not a school in the traditional sense, and it's definitely not a jam session. It's more like a gym for jazz players - where you actually show up, play with a consistent group, push yourself, and hear your own growth week to week.
We meet in small groups once a week in a dedicated space in Tysons Corner. Sessions are coached by a professional jazz musician and teacher. The goal is to play better, hear better, and enjoy the process. If you've got some experience under your belt and you're serious about getting better - not perfect, just better - we'd love to talk.
We're especially looking for horn players and bassists at the moment, but all instruments are welcome to reach out. Email a bit about your background, and we'll go from there.
