Data Entry/Administrative Assistant / Social Media Marketing (Herndon)

compensation: The starting pay for this position would be approximately $15.00 per hour, depending on qualifications and experience

Small Christian ministry in Herndon, VA is looking to hire the right person to assist director in entering financials and donor information into non-profit management software, help with administrative tasks, serve as occasional event coordinator assistant, and also help managing social media accounts in addition to various other tasks as needed. No health insurance offered.

Computer skills, data entry, social media marketing, graphic and web design experience all very helpful. Willing to train the right person. Must be hard working with a pleasant disposition and willing to help with a variety of tasks.

Job Responsibilities:
-Create online and paper flyers, Instagram posts, ‘like’ peoples’ comments on social media
-Respond to emails and messages; write thank you notes; send email blasts
-Assist with editing in imovie, taking pictures or assisting with camera/video
-Post office & errand runs
-Occasional help coordinating events & conferences
-Other duties as assigned

Requirements:
-Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Data entry, faxing, scanning, saving documents to database.
-Must be able to work well under supervision or independently
-Basic Computer Skills a Must; (Quickbook, Excel, graphic design a plus)
-Personal integrity a must
-Ability to actively listen and follow detailed instructions
-Must maintain strict confidentiality
-Dress code is business casual

This is a position in a Christian ministry so a personal relationship with Jesus Christ is a major plus. Anyone with high work ethic and personal integrity is welcome to apply. Positive attitude a MUST!

Ideal for a Christian ministry intern.

10-15 hours per week with a potential for more hours once trained. Flexible work schedule available, including some evening or weekend hours if desired. Salary based on experience.
