Bookkeeper/Administrative Asst (Reston)

compensation: Compensation based on experience

We are seeking an experienced Bookkeeper/Administrative Assistant to work with our growing CPA firm in Reston. The right candidate should be willing to work Full-time during tax season (including weekends) and Part-time as needed throughout year. Tax season begins in early February through mid-May. Summer hours are very flexible.
Qualifications include:
-Minimum of 5 years bookkeeping experience in QuickBooks desktop and QuickBooks On-line
-Ability to reconcile Balance Sheet transactions against transactions entered in QuickBooks
-Excellent written and oral communication skills
-Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
- Must be accurate, efficient, possess a keen attention to detail and be punctual, dependable and honest.

Main responsibilities include bookkeeping functions for the firm and clients:
- Accounts Receivable including tracking invoices and payments in QuickBooks
- Manage customer credit card information
- Reconcile credit card transactions
- Manage Accounts Payable
-Monthly bank reconciliations

Administrative Duties include:
-Answer phone and interface with clients
-Process in-coming mail and tax documents from clients
-Scanning client files/documents
- Provide general office support as needed
