Due to extenuating life circumstances, including a lack of time and the financial burden, I must make the difficult decision to find a new, loving forever home for my precious rabbit. I can no longer provide the level of attention she deserves, nor can I get her a bonded companion to prevent her from being lonely. My priority is finding an owner who can give her the best life.
Meet Penelope:
Breed: Black Holland Lop.
Age: 2 years in july 2025
Health: Spayed and up-to-date on vaccinations. She has had no serious medical issues.
Temperament/Habits: She has lived free-roam for most of her life and has been reliably litter-trained since she was about 8 weeks old.
Needs: She loves treats and foraging for things. She needs to be combed regularly to manage her long hair and seasonal shedding.
Ideal Environment: She currently has a large, free-roam area (about 800 sq ft) and would do best in an environment where she has at least a few hundred square feet to roam. Keeping her in an enclosure at night may be necessary, but a large space during the day is ideal.
Personality: She is definitely a rabbit. Can be a little timid so she loves to hide but also will happily accept pets and treats. Can be held if need be, but she prefers to be on the ground. Loves to explore.
The Adoption:
Adoption Fee: None—I am asking for no fee to ensure she goes to the best possible home.
Included Accessories: I will provide everything I have for her at no cost, including:
Enough excess hay to last a few months.
Rabbit pellets.
Food dishes and her current litter box (she may prefer multiple options).
Any other accessories I have.
Requirements for Adopters (Please Read Carefully):
I want to ensure she goes to a home that will take excellent care of her. When you reach out, please reply to this post via email with the following details:
Your experience as a rabbit owner.
Details of her proposed setup in your home (e.g., how much space will she have, is it free-roam, what kind of enclosure).
Who the primary caretaker will be and their current living situation.
I may also request a casual phone call to learn more about you before confirming the rehoming. Thank you for considering giving her a wonderful forever home!
