Please note that the lens features manual focus mechanism. There is no image stabilization.This lens is not weather sealed.
If you want to use a mirrorless camera (Sony, Fujifilm, Panasonic, etc.) or a Canon, Nikon DSLR camera with a different mount with this lens, you will need to get an FD adapter for your camera mount. Please note that FD adapters are not included in this listing.
This lens does have great distance reach and with 1.4X and 2x FD teleconverters / extenders, you could greatly extend the focal length (800 X 1.4 = 1120mm, 800 X 2 = 1600mm).
As with any large manual focus lens with no image stabilization, you will need to have a heavy duty tripod + stable gimbal head as well as a shutter release cord to avoid any kind of shake while taking
