What to look for before you store your boat or R.V. You have invested Thousands of dollars in your Vacation R.V. or Boat so why not make sure that where you take it can keep it secure and offer services that should be at the facility you store it.
1. make sure there is a electric gate with gate card, other wise anyone can have access to your property stored.
2. believe it or not majority of so called storage lots arn't even fence in completely.
3. ask about security, make sure there are people on site 24/7 not only that but also security cameras and motion sensors with over head lighting.
4. does the storage facility offer 24 hour access with no security on lot. A lot can happen in the middle of the night by others who
have access to facility in the after hours when no one is around.
5. Is there a R.V. Dump station free of charge so you can empty your R.V. holding tank when returning from a long trip.
6. Also what about having a R.V. / Boat wash Rack with a 30' cat walk 4' high so you can pull along side and wash your R.V. or
Boat or just reach the hard to get to places up high.
7. What about a L.P. Gas fill on site. This alone will save you hours not having to take it somewhere else to get your L.P. Gas.
8. Where you Store your R.V. or Boat do they offer Master Factory trained and Certified Mechanics to service your Boat or R.V.
on site.......Do they have the people and equipment, knowledge to fix or solve any Boat or R.V. service issue?
9. What about parts and Service on Site, do they have a fully stocked parts department offer Discounts on all Parts and Labor 10% to 20% if you store there.
10. Are you parking in a grass field where when it rains there is mud every where.
11. Also is this a new start up Storage Lot or do they have 10 years, 20 years or even 50 years same location in the Storage and
Service Business.
12. Make sure that where you store Your R.V. or boat that its in a County that has no Personal Property Tax ( this can save you more then the Storage Fee charged yearly ! you could save Thousands of dollars every year.
But best of all is it a Family Business that really cares.
