I am an entry-level attorney licensed to practice in D.C., currently unemployed, and looking to work for far below usual rates for up to a year in order to gain experience, as long as the position is full-time and involves legal writing (paralegal-type work would be OK but my preference would be for an attorney position). For a public interest, civil rights, or antitrust firm, or nonprofit engaged in similar areas of practice, I would be willing to work for as little as $25k for up to two years. I earned my J.D. from a good law school but with admittedly mediocre grades. I live in South Riding, Va., and would be willing to commute up to an hour or so away.
