Sentimental Songs
by the
Living
Guitars
...
If any music can conjure up an aura of elegant leisure and romance,
it's this collection of marvelously sentimental songs by the Living.
Guitars, who handle melody with the precision of cameo carving.
For those who like their songs sumptuous and just a little sad,
there's Flamingo and I've Got You Under My Skin. A good song,
like a well-cut suit, lasts for years and these two have certainly
stood the test of time. I'm Getting Sentimental Over You is equally
as classic, but here it is given a fresh, exciting upbeat arrangement.
The nostalgia swirling around these tunes adds to their luster.
Guitar buffs who enjoy listening to fast and fancy fingerwork
will like the catchy Más Que Nada and There Will Never Be
Another You, both of which lilt along as brisk and fresh as a
spring shower.
Hawaii, the theme from the current motion picture of the same
name, adds a splash of new melody to the selection of classics
we've already mentioned. And that's not all. A Thousand Guitars
is especially made to display the Living Guitars' superb qualities.
There are the quiet sounds of Green Grass and Love Letters and the
sweeping melodies of Wallpaper Roses to complete an album whose
songs can satisfy many musical moods.
