MANTECH seeks a motived, career and customer-oriented Senior Cloud Engineer to join our team in Chantilly, VA.
 

The Senior Cloud Engineer will leverage their strong technical background and knowledge to design, implement, and manage secure Azure cloud infrastructures in support of mission-critical operions. This role focuses on security monitoring and thre detection, leveraging modern DevOps tools and practices to support complex cloud environments.
 

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Supporting Azure cloud services and infrastructure using Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or ARM temples 

• Troubleshooting and resolving issues reled to Azure cloud environments while implementing security best practices 

• Leveraging Azure da services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud and Microsoft Sentinel to ensure security posture and compliance 

• Writing and maintaining automion scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Azure CLI and executing them using Azure Functions 

• Configuring network security groups (NSGs), applicion geways, and other network controls to protect cloud resources 

• Managing Azure compute, storage, networking, and dabase services to ensure complete and functioning systems 

• Applying security best practices and compliance standards while collaboring effectively across teams to address complex technical needs 
   

Minimum Qualificions:

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ additional years of IT experience in lieu of a degree

• 5+ years of experience in cloud engineering and/or development 

• Experience designing and deploying Azure-based solutions and working with DevOps tools such as Azure DevOps or Git 

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools like ARM temples, Terraform, Ansible, or BICEP 

• Experience automing workflows using scripting tools such as PowerShell, Bash, Python, YAML, or JSON 

• Experience with cloud temple technologies including Azure Resource Manager and GitHub Enterprise 

• DoD 8570 IAT Level 2 certificion (e.g., Security+, SSCP) or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire 
   

Preferred Qualificions:

• Microsoft certificions such as Azure Administror Associe or Azure Security Engineer Associe 

• Familiarity with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes, and experience with other cloud plforms 

• Understanding of NIST SP 800-53, NIST SP 800-37, and DoD Cloud Security Requirements Guide 
   

Clearance Requirements:

• An active TS/SCI with Polygraph 
   

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stionary position 50% 

• Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc. 

• Frequently communices with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentions 

• Must be able to exchange accure informion in these situions
