K-12 Christian School seeks part-time Teacher’s Assistant/Technology Coordinator. This is a combination position that will require a moderate understanding of software and networking, the ability to relate well and demonstrate presence and authority with children of all ages, and a willingness to serve others. As Technology Coordinator, this person will be responsible for serving as a resource to teachers in the use of the Google Suite, including Google Classroom; the use of webcams, microphones, and incoming HDMI feeds to in-class screens; and working with outside providers to resolve connectivity problems on the network. The candidate will work to minimize network and video/network downtime at campuses in Oakton, Reston, & Potomac Falls. Technology issues should be relatively rare, so the selected candidate for this position will frequently serve as a teacher’s assistant at the Oakton campus, providing assistance with oversight of classwork, lunch/recess, arrival/dismissal, and classroom instruction. All candidates must be supportive of the school’s faith-based mission. Since teacher’s assistants will pray with students, may assist in teaching the Christian studies curriculum, and will act as models of Christ-centered living, all candidates must agree fully with the school’s statement of faith and attend church regularly.
