The Nional Security Sector Leidos currently has an opening for a Da Engineer with a strong background in da analytics to support an exciting DHS software development program. In this role, you will work alongside various business process stakeholders and applicion developers to provide da necessary for decision support tools across an array of operional functions. The ideal candide will have solid core skills and proven history in implementing approprie modeling and da science stregies required to address customer needs. This role requires a strong foundion in Da Science concepts, Python programming experience, and the ability to work in fast-paced collaborive development teams.

Primary Responsibilities

• Conducting da analytics, da engineering, da mining, explorory analysis, predictive analysis, and stistical analysis to transform da into narrive products for informed decision making.

• Designing and building da management systems, collaboring with da users to optimize architectures and systems.

• Selecting and configuring backend dabase technologies and optimizing scalable, efficient da pipelines to ingest, process, and transform structured and unstructured da infrastructure for intelligence needs.

• Implementing automed processes for integring various dasets, conducting scalable da research, and developing scripts to handle da efficiently.

• Collaboring with collection managers and computer scientists to design new da processes and genere algorithms for automed collection stregies

• Participing in briefings, meetings, conferences, and working groups to provide advice and resolve issues as requested by the Government.

• Support multiple simultaneous projects and take open-ended or high-level guidance, independently and collaborively make discoveries th are mission-relevant, and package and deliver the findings to a non-technical audience.

Basic Qualificions

• Bachelors degree and 6-8 years of relevant experience in Stistics, Mhemics, Da Analytics, or a reled analytical field

• US Citizen

• Ability to get/maintain Public Trust clearance

• Strong understanding of da modeling, da warehousing, and dabase design principles

• Skilled in relional dabases, SQL, and API-based da querying

• Experience developing predictive algorithms, image classifiers, object detectors, and others

• Proficiency in da visualizion and graphical applicions (PowerBI, etc)

• Experience with major da science languages such as R and Python

• Ability to manage and merge dispare da sources using R, Python, or SQL

Preferred Qualificions

• Exceptional coordinion and collaborion skills

• Track record of active learning and creive problem solving

• Familiarity using GIT, SVN, Jira, or other version control technologies

• Experience with Azure cloud da analytics tools
