This is a vintage M65 Sport King 8 foot, 4 piece/section, split bamboo fly rod that is in excellent condition. The Sport King rods were sold by by Montgomery Ward in the 50's and 60's. Several companies made the rods for them including South Bend and Montague, but most were made by Horrocks-Ibbotson. The rod comes in a protective handled carrying tube. The sections are wrapped in bubble wrap since there was no sock with the rod.
The finish on the rod is in very good condition. The snake guides are all present and the wrapping of the guides is solid and rust free.
