Please note that desktop processors do not equate to laptop/mobile chips. Other than being called an "i5" for marketing purposes, this processor is substantially more powerful than mobile chips. Desktop processors don't have to consider battery power, so they are substantially more powerful.
The RAM and SSD can be upgraded in this model. I can upgrade to 32GB for $60; 512GB SSD for $50, $90 for 1TB, $150 for 2TB.
