The NOC technician is responsible for analyzing, testing, isolating, and correcting all network issues. This includes problems with VOIP, Data, PBX, Video, cable plant and fiber to the home.
24x7 Alarm Monitoring using IPSwitch WhatsUpGold Alarm Management Application and acting upon these alarms (open trouble tickets, troubleshoot, resolve)
Investigating, reporting and troubleshooting a variety of alarm systems; such as power, MUX, IP routers and switches, servers, and PBX (Cisco and Nortel) alarms.
Investigating, reporting, and troubleshooting a variety of service related issues; such as phone, internet, IPTV, Satellite TV, and Cable TV Head End environments.
Accessing GLDS BroadHub customer database environment to check services, open work orders, and track customer internet and CATV services; in HeadEnd environment.
Accessing Cisco Call Manager servers to configure and troubleshoot analog and digital phone problems; as well as translations and routing of trunks.
Answer customer calls from customers regarding trouble tickets and service issues
Test circuits, service features, trunking and equipment to make sure they are operating effectively, or to determine where problems are and solutions to problems.
Check and update trouble tickets as needed in Lodge Assist ticketing server
Ensure customer trouble tickets are processed in a timely manner and assign and escalate as appropriate.
2-5 years Telecommunications experience
Associates degree or related on-the-job experience
Familiarity with remote circuit, trunking equipment monitoring and testing
Knowledge of Router management and troubleshooting
