I have a 14" electric chain saw bought from Harbor Freight several years ago. I used it only a few times, but when I went to cut an overgrown shrub this week, the chain stopped moving. I took the saw apart and it turns out the driven gear is made of plastic and was shredded by the motor. The pictures show the stripped planetary gear. So, everything else on the chain saw works except the chain doesn't move since the plastic driven gear is stripped. It's good for parts if you have a similar chain saw and want a spare motor.
The saw is in Manassas near the Costco store and available for pick up.
