MANTECH seeks a motived, career and customer-oriented Dediced Phone Installion Technician to join our team in Herndon, VA.  In this role, you support a Dediced Support Team supporting the Voice Program Recap Office (VPRO) installing network equipment, telephones (VoIP, analog, ISDN), voice media geways and associed service modules.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Performing high quality installions and troubleshooting a variety of telephones, running and termining cables to voice switch equipment.
• Dressing cabling appropriely according to industry and Sponsor standards.
• Mounting voice and network equipment in racks, running and connecting both power and service cabling as approprie.
• Performing surveys as necessary to collect or valide informion for the engineering or VSIT personnel.
• Local travel will be required between customer buildings.
• Work required shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM as part of a coverage team opering between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM.  May need to work extended hours during critical peaks and be available to meet last minute requests.
   

Minimum Qualificions:

• High School Diploma with 6+ years of experience, Associes Degree with 9+ years of experience, or a Bachelor’s Degree with 7+ years of experience.
• Minimum 2 years of experience with implemention of the customers classified & unclassified LAN infrastructure (including scripting, configurion, cutover and troubleshooting).
• Minimum 2 years of experience installing and troubleshooting telephone instruments and media geways on the Sponsors classified and unclassified networks.
• Experience in a variety of cabling areas including 110 type cross connections, RJ45 pch panels, wire wrap terminals, copper cable terminions, DSX Panel T-1 cabling, fiber terminions.
• Excellent knowledge of various cabling methodologies, industry standards, troubleshooting techniques, and reading/understanding cable run lists.
   

Preferred Qualificions:

• Experience with implemention on the Sponsor's new unclassified network LAN infrastructure.
• Special non-commercial systems administror experience (access management/file transfer)
• VoIP Telephone Installion experience.
• Reled work experience in IT hardware and cabling installion.
   

Clearance Requirements:

• Must have a current/active TS/SCI with Polygraph

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to remain in a stionary position least 50% of the time. Constantly opere a computer, phone, and other office equipment for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to move/traverse within and between buildings and offices, position self to maintain equipment and cabling, including under the desks, while moving floor tiles, and in server closets, some of which may be confined spaces.
• Must be able to move Audio/Visual or Computer equipment weighing 50 pounds or more, some equipment may require team-lift or the use of carts. Ascends/descends a ladder, 10+ feet high while pulling cables and adjusting equipment.
